Owners Bob, a retired chemist and Jean, a retired hair stylist have always had a knack for hospitality. In 1995, Jean, an excellent cook, studied traditional crepe making in Brittany while Bob was there on sabbatical. Upon their return, they began catering events and doing pop-up crepe stands at local markets. In 2007, they transformed a run-down variety store, fittingly called “The Belmont Variety” into a full service restaurant; The Village Creperie. In 2010, they began to fully embrace their retirement, passing the torch to their daughter Melissa, granddaughter Jessica and her fiancé Brandon. Their collective vision culminated in the Creperie’s transformation into The Belmont in July 2014.
